Cysticercal Encephalitis, A Rare Presentation of Neurocysticercosis: A Case Report

Neurocysticercosis is the most common parasitic
infection of the central nervous system caused by the
larval form of the Tape worm Taenia Solium. It is widely
prevalent in developing countries of Africa, Asia and
Latin America.1 In India, cysticercosis is highly
prevalent and CNS involvement is seen in 60-90% of
infested patients.2
