Conference on Pediatric neurology in Hyderabad 7-9 February, 2014
It gives us immense pleasure and the honour to invite you to New Delhi
to attend the “16th National Conference of Pediatric Critical Care”
(NCPCC2014) co- hosted by Indian Academy Pediatrics- Intensive Care
Chapter and IAP Delhi Branch. The venue of this prestigious conference
is the hotel Le Meridien, situated in the Lutyen’s area of New Delhi.
In line with the traditions of IAP conferences, we are planning to
bring forth a conference with the highest standards of scientific and
evidence based academic feast. The scientific committee has already
started listing the topics to cover the most of the issues related to
pediatric critical care starting from the basics to advances. We are
planning plenary sessions in the morning and thematic lectures,
Pro-Con debates and penal discussions on various controversial topics
and guidelines in the afternoon sessions. The effort will be made to
cover major medical including tropical diseases and surgical problems
encountered in the PICU. The deliberations will also emphasis on the
logistic and operational difficulties of our PICUs.
We have planned CME, workshops and Basic Pediatric Intensive Care
Course during the preconference days. Besides workshops on advanced
mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, and bedside
ultrasonography/ECHO, we have planned two unique workshops for this
mega event. Critical care nursing workshop has been planned to educate
the nursing staff working at different hospitals with varied
facilities and working environment. I sincerely request you to
encourage your nurses to get enrolled for this one day program. We
have planned “Neuro-Renal Critical Care” workshop for the first time
in this national event. The basic idea for a separate workshop is to
educate the participants about the management concepts of critical
care of kidneys and brain. All workshops will be at different
hospitals of Delhi and NCR. I can ensure you that the workshops will
be most educative and practical with lots of hands-on sessions. We
have enrolled eminent faculties who are experts in the field of
pediatric critical care.
We are sure that the preconference CME, workshops and conference will
interest the general pediatrician, post graduates, pediatric
cardiologists, anaesthetists and intensivists along with academicians
with interest in emergency and critical care and all those who are
taking care of the sick children. The organization team has been
formed and its members have already started working on assignments
given to them.
As part of the SARCC group, it is a special invitation to you to
participate in this annual national event of India since our
objectives and goals of saving the sick children are same and we face
the similar operational, logistic and feasibility problems. We are
planning to address all these issues also during the deliberations.
We request you to mark these dates in your calendar and register for
the workshops and conference. We promise to provide you with academic
extravaganza and scientific feast in true “Delhi Style”.
